My friend Mark and I have been enjoying a wonderful site on the web called “Ear Plane”. Its a site that has many little ear training tests, both melodic and harmonic. It goes from the very simple to the extremely complicated to the impossible (well, for me anyway… heh).

The first week of school has passed and I am starting to shake off the summer vacation and get back into study mode once again. This semester has pretty much the same classes as last time, Music 1 has become Music 2 and Piano 1 is now Piano 2.

Here is Riemenschneider #74. We’re nearing the end of these chorales. Sorry to all of you who are not in the music class where these are being used, there will be more regular news and items here soon. Its been quite fun singing the solfege to these pieces, I hope we do more next semester!

Chorale #4 has been added to the Resources section. I know, not a very descriptive name… but its all that was on the music to identify it besides the score. Enjoy!

This one is more difficult than the others. Lots of movement in the bass voice, the tenor jumps around a lot. The MP3s are here is Riemenschneider #186. Get them while you still have time to practice! =)
